The overall purpose of this course is to introduce Wildlife Awareness and the fundamentals required for working safely around wildlife. As well as understand and provide awareness around potential hazards associated with outdoor work. At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
•Recognize the 3 species of North American bears
•Distinguish Bear Behaviors and how to react to each situation
•Learn about dangerous situations with Bears, Cougars and Wolves
•Learn about Reptiles, Ungulates, and Insects
•Learn about the proper use and handling of Wildlife Deterrents
